3D Point Clouds Rendering

Jan 5, 2010 at 3:02 AM

Dear All:

I wanna know how I can render or draw the 3D point clouds by Kit3D.

I have seen the code example named "TigerSolid". But ,the procedure of drawing

3D point clouds is not as easy as I thought since the geometry is specified to

"MeshGeometry3D", which means I can't just remove the triangle indices for rendering

the 3D points.   So, please tell me what and how to do.

Thanks a million~~~^^

Hello,

The only way i'm seeing right now is to create a reference sphere model. then you should one sphere on the position of each vertex.

Thanks for your valuable information.

However, after tying to use geometry type (such as ellipse) to represent the point cloud,

I realize that the method "viewport.Children.Add()" ,  mainly used to control the rotation

and translation perspective in 3D space,  can only accept the type of Visual3D, which can only be regarded

as a mesh model.  So, the point is whether there is any type of kit3d can be used to represent 3d point clouds

 located in the 3d coordinate.

Thanks a million~~~^^
